Greetings to all of you. I'm Min Jung, president of KARPET (Korean Association for Reserach, Procedures and Education on Trauma). I really congratulate on the foundation of TIP (Trauma Image and Procedure), the official journal of KARPET.
Trauma system in Korea has been operated without proper dedicated trauma facility and medical personnel during the past 30 years. However, after experiencing a series of events such as Operation Dawn of Gulf of Aden, ROKS Cheonan sinking, and Bombardment of Yeonpyeong, needs for systematic trauma center and trauma system increased. And to fulfill these needs, KARPET held various academic programs to cultivate fully qualified trauma specified personnel since 2014.
Especially, our society KARPET is opened to all the medical personnel working for trauma including not only doctors, but also coordinators, nurses, EMTs, and medical record technicians to improve the overall quality of trauma team.
The Trauma Image and Procedure (Trauma Image Proced), our society's official journal, aims to simplify the submission process, so that any personnel working in the trauma field can make a submission conveniently, and also read them easily. Our journal also aims to publish practical contents, rather than describing pedantic and lengthy facts and knowledge, to level up the trauma system in Korea. And it will also be a communication channel with worldwide trauma society. So please show your sincere support to the TIP's first step.
